Deaton Design Studio

We are a family, working together in one large studio and having a blast together. We love and live to create. J.M. Deaton is my husband Jeff, he is captivated by color, loves to paint and endeavors to capture an essence of the divine within his work. He is a self taught artist, bible scholar, and he runs a senior citizens and jail ministry .

Nina Gail Deaton is our 21 year old daughter who eats, sleeps, and breathes art when she is not chasing after our 3 year old grandson. She adores and admires the unique characteristics of real bears and strives to create OOAK bears that are truly original. Her miniature bears are all one of a kind and created without the use of a pattern.

My name is Pamela Deaton and my family depends upon me to handle the business aspects of art-making. I have a BFA in Painting, and an MFA in Sculpture from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. I began to draw seriously at about 14 years of age and continue until this day. In college the 3 dimensional form captured my attention and I have been creating sculpture for the past 15 years and loving every minute of it. My subject matter has not changed in 30 years because there is no way to exhaust the many creative ways to interpret the human form or nature. I am also a public school art teacher and I love it!

Our son Thomas is 10 and he likes to create ACEO dragon cards.

Noah, our grandson, is still practicing his linear abstract style.

All of our other children have "flown the nest".

Our studio is located in the beautiful Whitewater Valley area of Indiana. We are surrounded by nature with plenty of room to stretch our legs in the great outdoors. The woodlands and nearby lake provide recreational and creative inspiration.

We create the kind of artwork that we enjoy and hope that it will bring

enjoyment to you also. We desire to lift the spirit and inspire hope.
